The Arctic Circumpolar Route is supported by UNESCO and the Arctic Institute of North America (AINA) at the University of Calgary. Financially the ACR is dependent on corporate and private donations. Gifts to the ACR are deposited in a designated account at AINA, and used only for the benefit of this initiative. No administrative fees are charged.
AINA is a registered charitable organization, and donations are tax deductible. AINA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Calgary, and is audited by the Auditor General of Alberta. Audited statements are available.
